Genba no Nihongo – Japanese for Practitioners with Basics

The Genba no Nihongo textbook focuses on Japanese language learning specifically designed for prospective interns who want to acquire practical Japanese language skills that can be immediately applied in real-world workplace settings in Japan.

The objective of the Genba no Nihongo textbook is to facilitate learning based on situations and contexts that reflect actual workplace environments. For example, learners will encounter scenarios such as asking about rules and workplace manners, or inquiring about the usage of office or factory equipment. Furthermore, to deepen learners’ understanding of Japanese corporate culture, each situation and task includes a "Why & How" problem to encourage independent and critical thinking.

This book consists of 3 versions:
1. Basic Version (基礎編）
2. Advanced Version (応用編)
3. Word List Version (単語帳)

The flow of each unit in this textbook aims to stimulate learners to better understand each unit, which is composed of "Finding Tasks" (調べるタスク), "Listening Tasks" (聞くタスク), and "Speaking Tasks" (話すタスク). However, learners can start learning from any unit. The choice of unit to be studied is according to the learner's interests and circumstances.

The flow in each unit is described as follows:

1. Topics (話題), Situation (場面) , Goals and Tasks (タスクの目標)
Confirm the objectives (what can be done) in order to understand the situation of the Unit and Theme being studied.
2. Warm up (ウォーミングアップ)
Persiapan sebelum memasuki Tugas Utama (メインタスク). Pada tahap ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan motivasi terhadap Tugas Utama (メインタスク).3. Tugas Utama (メインタスク)
In the Main Assignment (メインタスク) there are Finding Out Assignments (調べるタスク), Listening Assignments (聞くタスク), and Speaking Assignments (話すタスク) which vary according to the theme of the unit being studied.
4. Conversation Practice (会話練習)
In the Listening Task (聞くタスク) section, the focus is on using vocabulary that has been understood depending on the Conversation Practice (会話練習).
5. Practical Phrases (便利な表現)
Make example sentences from the vocabulary and expressions being studied according to the theme, then memorize them.
